Are You Overlooking the Small Details That Make a Big Impact?
The little things matter more than you think—here’s how to sharpen your attention to detail and elevate your business.

Welcome to this week’s newsletter,
Right now, as you may know, I’m in the process of selling my house, which means I’m looking at it differently—spotting all the little things I normally overlook. Preparing for viewings has made me hyper-aware of every detail, from scuffed paint to cluttered corners.

I’ve realised I’m doing the same thing at my studio. With an upcoming video tour being filmed, I’m scrutinising every single nook and cranny, knowing it’ll all be recorded forever. But why don’t we apply this same level of attention to detail in our businesses every single day?
In today’s email:
What things are you overlooking?: What have you gone blind to in your business?
Making it work for you: How to ensure you’re on top of all the finer details.
The Importance of Attention to Detail
Paying attention to the little things isn’t just about aesthetics—it’s about creating a seamless and professional experience for your customers, employees, and partners.
When details are overlooked, mistakes happen, inefficiencies creep in, and the overall perception of your business can suffer.
Think about a time you visited a restaurant where the cutlery wasn’t clean or a website where the links didn’t work. Those details, however small, impact the trust and confidence people have in a brand.
It’s the same in your business—whether you run a studio, clinic, retail shop, or an online service, the finer details shape the experience.
By stepping into the shoes of your clients, you start to see the small but important elements that might have gone unnoticed before. The presentation of your space, the clarity of your communication, and even the little touches in customer interactions all contribute to how your brand is perceived.
See What Your Clients See – Step into their shoes, especially if they’re brand new to your business. First impressions matter!
Ask Your Team to Look Closer – A fresh perspective can highlight overlooked areas for improvement.
Small Fixes, Big Impact – The little details—like clean spaces, clear communication, and smooth processes—can make all the difference.
"The difference between something good and something great is attention to detail." – Charles R. Swindoll
Will it work for you?
Attention to detail isn’t just about spotting what’s wrong—it’s about refining and enhancing every aspect of your business to create a smoother, more professional experience.
The good news? Small changes can lead to big improvements. Here are some simple ways to start applying this mindset today:
✅ Audit Your Space & Experience – Walk through your business like a customer. What stands out? What needs improvement?
✅ Get a Second Opinion – Ask staff, friends, or even customers for their honest feedback.
✅ Make Incremental Changes – Small tweaks add up. Fix what you can now, then keep refining over time.
Try this out and see how it transforms your business! Let me know what details you’re noticing that you hadn’t before.
The Key? Consistency.
By making attention to detail a habit, you’ll create a business that not only looks great but runs efficiently and leaves a lasting impression on your clients. The smallest tweaks can make the biggest difference—so start today and see what a sharper focus can do for you!
Happy tweaking!
