✨ Is your website doing its real job?
A look behind the scenes at the system I just built - and why your website should work as hard as you do.

This week I’ve been knee-deep in something I’ve wanted to create for ages - and it’s finally live: our brand new Member Hub. 🎉
It’s an internal website just for clients of the studio, and from the moment someone signs up, they have instant access. Think of it as a one-stop digital home where they can find everything they need - studio info, FAQs, events, updates, policies, resources - all in one calm and clickable place.
The goal?
To make life easier for our clients and take some of the pressure off me (and my assistant) from repeating the same answers over and over.
Even though I send a weekly client newsletter (much like this one), I know not everyone catches every word - life’s busy.
So the Hub is our 24/7 backup. If a client can’t find an answer, they can still reach out, and if it’s useful, we’ll add it to the Hub. It’s designed to evolve as we do. One update, one place. No chaos.

How I’m using website strategy behind the scenes
Building the Member Hub has reminded me how powerful a well-thought-out website can be. It’s not just about looking pretty - it’s about solving problems.
For me, the Hub:
Streamlines communication with clients
Frees up time for the team to focus on deeper work
Builds trust by showing professionalism and clarity
Grows with us, easily updating as offers or systems change
Whether you’re building something public or private, your website should serve you and your people.
Your website should…
Feel like a natural extension of your brand, not a tech headache
Make it easy for people to find you, trust you, and work with you
Grow with you as your business evolves - not hold you back
Be simple enough that updates don’t require a panic attack or a developer on speed dial
Your Website’s real job in your Wellness Business
A lot of us were told we needed a website when we started our businesses. So we made one - or hired someone’s cousin to do it - and ticked the box. But just having a website isn’t enough.
In the wellness world, your website isn’t a digital business card. It’s a guidebook. A gentle invitation. A place that clearly tells someone:
“Here’s how I can help you. Here’s how to work with me. Let’s go.”
A good website does three things really well:
It builds trust. Through aligned visuals, clear language, and easy navigation.
It makes taking action effortless - whether that’s booking, buying, or subscribing.
It allows your client to imagine transformation - how their life will look and feel after working with you.
What your website shouldn’t be:
❌ Complicated
❌ Full of jargon
❌ Something you dread updating
❌ A copy-paste of someone else’s vibe
If reading this has you side-eyeing your own website or feeling like it’s more “ghost town” than “guidebook,” I want to share a resource I trust…“Your most unhappy customers are your greatest source of learning.”
“Design is not just what it looks like and feels like. Design is how it works.”

Will it work for you?
If your website has been on your “someday” list - or if it’s not reflecting how incredible your work truly is - now is the time to take action. Your digital presence should support your growth, not slow it down.
Here’s how to start:
Look at your current site and ask: “Would I book myself?”
If you’re DIY-ing, simplify: clear message, easy navigation, one clear action
Refresh your brand visuals to match where you are now, not where you started
Consider outsourcing if it’s blocking your progress (like with Jo)
Map out a client-only hub for your offerings, even if it starts small
Remember: your website doesn’t need to be perfect — just purposeful
The Key to this week’s implementation…
Your website isn’t a static signpost - it’s a living, evolving tool.
Whether public-facing or behind-the-scenes, make sure it’s working as hard for your business as you are.
