Mastering Studio Success: The Power of Consistent Follow-Ups
Discover how consistent follow-ups can transform your business and keep you ahead of the competition.
Welcome to this week’s newsletter,
Last week was a very exiting week for me. Starting with my in-person training event that I held for Studio Owners & Instructors at my own studio in Hertfordshire.
It was a full two hours of sharing The 18 Secrets That Super Successful Studio Owners know & do, that most Studio Owners don’t know and don’t do (snappy I know!).
One of the things I enjoyed about this event was the chance for so many business owners to come together in one place without feeling the pressure of competition or rivalry.
Everyone was so supportive of each other’s journeys and interested in what everyone was doing in their businesses.
What was also really good for everyone to discover was that a lot of the issues for each different business (ranging from a few classes a week to running multiple locations), were similar, just on a different scale.
Everyone that came to the event, left with new ideas and strategies to implement in their businesses, and a WhatsApp group full of likeminded business owners to reach out to when they need them.
In today’s email:
Are you doing the follow up?: How long do you stay in contact with your leads?
Making it work for you: Using your competitors strengths and weaknesses to sell your classes.
Are you doing the follow up?
One of the biggest ‘Aha’ moments in my training event was about doing the follow-up.
It’s common to think people will get fed up of you if you keep contacting them.
However how many times have you been grateful of an email popping into your inbox that reminded you of a purchase you had thought about but not got round to, or an event you wanted to attend?
The truth is, if you don’t remind people of your existence, they will book with the person or company that is most recently in their head, and if that is your competitor then you will lose the sale.
One of the examples I used in my training is a handbag that I was looking at buying just before Christmas.
I didn’t need a new handbag, nor could I really justify spending out on something so close to Christmas that undoubtedly would sit in a cupboard for several weeks before it would be used. I went so far as choosing the colour and the straps I wanted and put them in my basket, then, at the last minute I closed the page and carried on with something else. |
Since I first looked at that site on the 22nd December I have had 7 emails from the company, keeping them in the forefront of my mind.
Plus all the retargeting ads I’ve had pop up on my facebook feed.
Imagine if that was a potential client of yours that had visited your site, or viewed a post advertising your classes.
(Trust me this will have happened MANY times).
What do you do about keeping your business in the mind of your interested prospects?
How many times have you reached out to them to see if they’re ready to buy yet?
More importantly, how long do you stay in contact with them?
A week? A fortnight? 3 Months? A year?
Approximately 3% of potential buyers at any given time are ready to buy
As I said earlier, I’m not in buying mode for that handbag right now, it could be another 6 months before I actually make that purchase.
If that company are still sending me emails, you can be sure they will be the company I go to to buy it.
However if they don’t, I’ll go back to browsing handbags and some other company may get my money.
Don’t underestimate how long it may take a potential client to make that buying step. Keep on their radar.
Will it work for you?
When was the last time you followed up with a potential client beyond 6 months?
Why not send an email to your list of leads today asking if they are still interested in your classes?
My steps for success
Make a list of all leads you have had in the last 6 months.
Send an email or a text asking if they are still looking for classes.
That’s it!
Don’t make it really long winded, or offer discounts, or even try to sell anything to them.
Just ask if they’re still interested.
You may be surprised at the results.
As always implementation is the key to success. The aim of these emails is to get you taking ACTION.
I would really love to hear how this goes for you.
Send me an email to share the results you get. [email protected]
